Sleepless Nights and Crazy Dreams

I can't sleep, and when I can, I am afraid to go to sleep! Everytime I even dose off, I have horrible nightmares and messed up dreams. Last night I dreamt that Tom lost his job and we were evicted from our house. The night before, Akita (my parents dog) ate my baby. I've been pregnant in highschool, worn too tight of pants that cut off my circulation and harmed my child, and I have also forgotten that I'm pregnant and missed my delivery by 3 months! And the worst part is, when I wake up, I can't tell what is reality and what was just a dream. I wake my poor husband up about 5 times a night to clarify reality and tell him about my dreams. Between that and the bathroom runs, sleep is not an easy thing at our home. I guess the only up side is that this will all soon come to an end. Soon I won't have a 5 pound baby sitting on my bladder and I'll get to sleep on my stomach. And most importantly, hopefully the dreams will end.

Jessie, that sounds crazy! I have heard when you are pregnant you have crazy dreams, but those are psychotic! I can't believe Porter is going to be here SO soon. Yeah!

P.S. I heard some interesting gossip for you. We are going to need to talk.

Those dreams really do sound crazy! I don't really remember my dreams from being preggo but I DO remember all the bathroom breaks during the night. I hate that, especially knowing that once the baby comes the sleep will still be interrupted and pregnant moms need the rest sooo much! Hang in there. Oh--and keep telling us about your silly dreams :)

I never remember my dreams. I'm sorry for the scary ones but it's good for tommy to wake him up occasionally in the night so he's ready for the baby-you know the real thing! I also hated waking up at night and peeing. I was up to three times a night. lame. Soon you will have a bladder of steel when the baby comes. Well, not really "steel" because then you laugh hard or sneeze or jump on the tramp and sometimes you lose it. Okay i'm done. ciao. I hope you have happier dreams.

Jess,
I notice a distinct difference between my pregnancy dreams and non-pregnancy dreams. I almost blogged about this very thing today. Baby center also has made a point to discuss how crazy dreams are while pregnant. As for me, last night I dreampt I worked at Wal-mart. No lie.

Wait until after you have your baby...one night I woke up screaming and beating my husband thinking he had rolled on top of our baby girl! When really she was sound asleep in her cradle! I still wake up searching for her in our bed, it's crazy! Plus, I have psycho dreams...maybe because I'm nursing so my hormones are still outta whack!!!

Jess, I always had weird dreams when I was pregnant. Couldn't tell you what they were now but I remember thinking how weird they were.I think it's because you are sleeping so light that you remember more. Maybe not. Good luck. This is the home stretch.

I am so sorry to hear about the dreams but that makes for a comical story! Sleep is sacred to me so I am sorry you are suffering from no sleep. I hope other then that all is well. We will call you soon to do something fun.

Jess! I am so sad that I am missing all these things - yes you should be mad - I always happen to be in Italy when your special days are happening. This is not fair. Accordingly - I vow to be a free babysitter whenever the need presents itself - deal? Will I be forgiven ever? Honestly, I love new borns so much that as much time as I can get with your cute little one is really a favor to me.
