We had another baby shower on Friday night with Tom's side of the family. It was tons of fun and we had lots of yummy treats. Everyone in my family is so creative and talented, they put me to shame with all of their creations. Baby Emergency Kits, blankets, bath towels and the awesome creation by Ruth Ann of the diaper cake. I am blessed to have such great people in my life that are so supportive and have such great advice about being mothers. As the time slowly draws near to finally have this baby, I am amazed by some of my relatives that were able to do this so many times! And I'm just talking about pregnancy, we haven't even started on the raising of the child. Seriously, Grandma Adams had twelve kids, and Ruth Ann had eight! How did they do it?

Jess--you are so close to having that baby!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it :) Hope we could offer you some sound advice rather than freak you out or make you feel overwhelmed. The mothering stuff just all works itself out and you will love it like crazy--maybe you really will end up with 6 kids (or more ;)!
I would love to see a picture of that diaper cake! Today when I saw your baby countdown (16!)... I got butterflies in my stomach for you! In my humble opinion, the love factor involved with having a baby over shadows that difficulties of pregnancy and hard moments of motherhood... oh... you have heard it so many times, but it really is the best thing. You'll be the best Mom... HECK, you mothered all of your high school friends and I am sure that was not an easy task.
I want to come and see all of your baby stuff!
I love that diaper cake. I can't believe you are having a baby so soon! Come already baby!!
tom and jess, we are having a concert at our house on saturday night at 8. we would love you see you there if you can come. give me a call if you want directions. hope everything is going swimingly!
Jess,
I am so SLOW... the diaper cake isn't really cake! It's the photo on the blog, made out of diapers. Good grief, I am slow! It's very cute and clever, I must say :)
jess you are down to two weeks. I am so happy for you. I wanted to come see you so bad while I was in SLC, just barely, but we were there for such a short time to bless Bryce. I cannot wait to see you little one. Please let me know when you have him and what his name, weight and length is. I have something to send you for the shower/baby arrival. I cannot send it until I know that info. Also, can you tell me what colors his nursery is? Thank you. Love ya girly and good luck!!
9 days!!!
