Life in Survival Mode

Well, I am barely feeling like I am getting a hold on my life again. It all started two weeks ago. I started feeling sick on Friday right after my ultrasound. Drum roll, we are having another boy!! (it is going to take a lot of convincing for Porter since he thinks its a girl) I felt like I was maybe getting the flu. By Saturday, it had morphed into a horrible cold, sinus, something or other. I thought I would tough it out over the weekend and then go to the doctor on Monday. But by Sunday I couldn't stop coughing and felt like I was going to die! My grandpa put diagnosed me with Bronchitis and put me on antibiotics. (thank goodness for immediate medical care!) Sunday night I was supposed to make the trek down to Provo to watch Jenny's kids for the week. But that wasn't happenin'. Thanks to Becky, who jumped in and went to Provo. I thought by Monday I would feel ok, but still a no go. She sent the kids off to school and brought the twins up here for me to watch. (the twins who are just potty trained and have to go potty 29 times a day) Come Tuesday I had to tough it out and head down to Provo. We survived the next 24hours and then i was able to bring all the kids up to my mom again to wait for their mom. Thursday was another fun day since I had to make up for a weeks worth of missed work and prepare a lesson for my mom's enrichment. But we survived. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything looks fine with the baby. I lost a bit of weight while I was sick but I think it won't be too much of a problem putting it back on. Crazy how a little nausea can turn on you fast. Crazy how life can get out of control so fast. Crazy that people can deal with so many kids at one time. Life can get crazy, but we survived. Thank goodness for my mom who was there to help! Hopefully after my Young Women's program I'll get my life back to "normal" and post pictures and be ready for my birthday and Halloween!

Jess--that sounds out too crazy for me so good job hanging in there and being supermom anyway! I say you need a spa day for your birthday...some total relaxation. Should I call Tommy and help him arrange it? ;)

oh jess. I can't imagine watching all those kiddos and being pregnant and not feeling well on top of that. I hope you start feeling better.

Yay! Another boy like me! I'm sorry you've been having a tough time. Being pregnant and sick is so hard, especially when you have other kids to watch!

I hope your life has slowed down some. I'm sorry to hear about your illness on top of everything else. I'm glad your Grandpa was able to help you over the weekend and that you're near your Mom for help!

Blech. Yesterday in a public restroom I heard a lady barfing her guts out. Not sure if she was pregnant, sick, or what. But it sounded awful and I took a moment of sympathy for all pregnant women I know. We're so excited you're having a boy!
