Ok, I know I haven't posted for a while, but not much has been going on lately. Porter and I spent much of the weekend with my parents because Tom had flown down to Texas with my brother to pick up his new car and then drive it back. Most of my time these days is spent taking care of Porter. He is still growing really fast and he is also developing some really naughty habits:
1) He has now discovered the power of his own voice. No longer am I responding to a sweet little whimper, no sir, he screams at me at the top of his lungs. (both when he is happy and when he is sad)
2) He loves to play with his bottle. Often he is not interested in drinking it, but just playing around with it.
3) He has started doing this thing when i get him out of the car. He keeps his eyes just slightly open and then when I say his name, his eyes open wide and he laughs.
4) He has started to spit up. Up to a week ago, he had probably only spit up six times. I thought I had been blessed with a baby that didn't spit up because the smell of spit up makes me vomit, but apparently that is not the case.
5) He is addicted to TV and could stare at it for hours. He gets mad at me when I turn it off.
Oh, one more thing. I just got a new car!! Yes, we finally traded in the Big Blue Truck. It is a Mazda CX7 and as my sister in law Carrie put it "a fun, mom car". I realized I haven't taken a picture of it, but here is what it looks like:

I love the new car, Jess! You look like a high roller with that thing. Porter is looking as cute as ever. I'm excited to see him continue to grow. It's crazy that he's almost five months old. He's as old as Gracie was when I got back from my mission! Anyway, bummer that he's spitting up now, but at least you had 4 1/2 months of freedom.
Fun new car! We need to go out to dinner soon or something.
Yeah for a new post! I love the new car, how cute and sporty. Sorry for Porter's new naughty behaviors, but he still is adorable. Hey, I'm off-track for 2 weeks, so we should hangout or do something fun. call me

I love that he opens his eyes wide and giggles when you say his name game. That made me smile.
Oh man, what would I do without my mother to help pass the long hours that Andrew is away? We're lucky to be close to the parental units, aren't we?
hey--thanks for quoting me in your blog :) I really do like your car--esp. the pretty color! And how does Porter look like he is almost too big for that leather couch he is sitting on? He is such a doll and really had to start doing something "naughty", if you can call it that, or he wouldn't count as a "real" child :) Cute, cute little boy!!
Love the baby food pictures! Kids make the funniest faces when they're not quite sure about what they've eating! My favorite is the sour face. I LOVE your new car! How fun! Oh, and you guys both gave great talks on Sunday, really. I enjoyed them both! We still need to hang out. Last weekend Layne had to work, the weekend before that was conference, but I have been meaning to call you. We'll have to plan something.
