First Feeding!
We went to the doctor yesterday and here are the stats:
Weight: 16lbs. 9 oz.
Height: 26 3/4 in.
The doctor also said that because of his size, Porter was ready to start baby food. So today we started having him try squash. He wasn't sure what he thought at first, but he did manage to get some of it down. Here are the pictures:

Just Hangin Out
Ok, I know I haven't posted for a while, but not much has been going on lately. Porter and I spent much of the weekend with my parents because Tom had flown down to Texas with my brother to pick up his new car and then drive it back. Most of my time these days is spent taking care of Porter. He is still growing really fast and he is also developing some really naughty habits:
1) He has now discovered the power of his own voice. No longer am I responding to a sweet little whimper, no sir, he screams at me at the top of his lungs. (both when he is happy and when he is sad)
2) He loves to play with his bottle. Often he is not interested in drinking it, but just playing around with it.
3) He has started doing this thing when i get him out of the car. He keeps his eyes just slightly open and then when I say his name, his eyes open wide and he laughs.
4) He has started to spit up. Up to a week ago, he had probably only spit up six times. I thought I had been blessed with a baby that didn't spit up because the smell of spit up makes me vomit, but apparently that is not the case.
5) He is addicted to TV and could stare at it for hours. He gets mad at me when I turn it off.
Oh, one more thing. I just got a new car!! Yes, we finally traded in the Big Blue Truck. It is a Mazda CX7 and as my sister in law Carrie put it "a fun, mom car". I realized I haven't taken a picture of it, but here is what it looks like:

Quarter LeBaron
Here are a few of the pictures we had taken of Porter. Now tell me I don't have the cutest little boy ever. At the portrait studio, I think the photographer failed to realize that Porter is only 3 months old. She kept trying to make him sit up on his own, but he can't! Although he just about tried to crawl away. People who think he is 6 months plus must think he is developmentally challenged if he can't even sit up. I also have yet to realize why people must continue to inform me that my child is big. Ok, yes and so what is your point? Don't you think that I have realized that myself? Today I went to Bajios with my mom. As I was finishing, one of the workers walked up to the table and said, "Wow, I can't believe you finished the entire thing. You must have been really hungry!" Although this was the case, can someone please tell me the point of expressing this fact to me? It certainly isn't a compliment, and if it isn't meant as a cut, please inform me of the purpose.

The Latest
This past week has been crazy in the life of the LeBarons. On Tuesday night, we went out to the Miller Motors Race Track where all the boys raced each other in the karts. This was Trent's final hoorah before he left Wednesday. On Thursday, Porter and I loaded up, which by the way creates so much more luggage than I have been use to, and headed down to St.George for the "Girl's Trip". Porter was an absolute angel on the drive down and slept most of the trip. But what's new?
Although I had a difficult time mastering the pocket on my bag, I was successful in sewing an apron. Now that I know the basics of sewing, which is more than Mrs. Bridge and TLC class ever taught me, maybe I can actually be successful at it. Or maybe I just have an awesome machine that can do most of the work for me. Porter had a fabulous time with 7 more mommies to dote over him and a sweet little cousin, baby Bea, to play with. All of this left him exhausted. And not surprisingly, everyone who saw my child was sure to tell me that he was a Big Boy. Which is definitely true since he wears the same size clothes as his cousin who is a year and a half. But why everyone feels the need to inform me of this obvious fact is beyond me.

3 Months
Porter is now three months old, although you wouldn't think that by looking at him. He wears 9-12 month old clothes which are getting too short, so we may have to move to toddler in some brands. He loves to stand and is trying to learn how to sit up. I can't believe how fast he is growing. Pretty soon we will have to move him to cereal. He is also developing great sleeping habits. He takes a million naps a day, and still manages to sleep well during the night. Last night was 7 hours!
Other than that, not much else is happening. Tommy is keeping busy with work and school, which leaves me lonely on Friday nights. Trent leaves for his mission on Wednesday, yes the day has finally come!! And by far the most exciting thing for me right now is the upcoming girls (plus one boy) trip down to St. George where I get to try my hand at sewing and spend some time with my sister in laws.
