We had another baby shower on Friday night with Tom's side of the family. It was tons of fun and we had lots of yummy treats. Everyone in my family is so creative and talented, they put me to shame with all of their creations. Baby Emergency Kits, blankets, bath towels and the awesome creation by Ruth Ann of the diaper cake. I am blessed to have such great people in my life that are so supportive and have such great advice about being mothers. As the time slowly draws near to finally have this baby, I am amazed by some of my relatives that were able to do this so many times! And I'm just talking about pregnancy, we haven't even started on the raising of the child. Seriously, Grandma Adams had twelve kids, and Ruth Ann had eight! How did they do it?

Dreams, or rather Nightmares Really Do Come True
Call it pregnant intuition, but maybe those crazy dreams I have been having mean a little more than I thought. Probably I'm just paranoid, but my crazy dream about Tommy losing his job came to light. Don't worry though, I hardly believe that means that we will be evicted from our house. (see below) I guess sometimes the Lord works in mysterious ways. I thought we didn't move into the Lindon home was because something better was in store, but really, it was just to help prepare us for what was to come. Tom lost his job yesterday, but on the bright side, we didn't blow all our savings on the down payment for the Lindon home and have a higher house payment and live further away which would cost us more in gas and maybe I can talk my doctor into inducing me if this baby even thinks about coming late so that my insurance will still be in effect. And surprisingly, I am not even worried. Once again, it must be a side effect of pregnancy because that is not like me, but Tom already has some great prospects thanks to the connections of Neil and Carl, so I'm sure all will be well. But seriously, how often do your dreams, or rather nightmares, come true?

HALLOWEEN FUN
Saturday evening was the LeBaron Family Halloween Party. All the kids were dressed in absolutely adorable costumes which once again made me excited to have my own little one to dress up. Although Tommy and I are party poopers and didn't dress up, that didn't stop some of the family coming out in true Ugly LeBaron Fashion. We had tons of fun activities: decorating pumpkins with mr. potato head faces, a fish pond, a pumpkin dance for the kids directed by Carrie, and great food. Ruth Ann made pumpkin cheesecake, my favorite! Tiago and Bentley helped me blow out the candles, and as you can see from the picture, Tiago needs a little more help distinguishing the difference between blowing air and spit!
Saturday was also my birthday! My best gift? A washer and dryer. Yes, Tom and I have managed to live two years without one, but we decided that with a new baby on the way, it would be in everyone's best interests if we invested in one. We had been holding out until after the move, but it looks like we will be staying here in Murray for now.

Sleepless Nights and Crazy Dreams
I can't sleep, and when I can, I am afraid to go to sleep! Everytime I even dose off, I have horrible nightmares and messed up dreams. Last night I dreamt that Tom lost his job and we were evicted from our house. The night before, Akita (my parents dog) ate my baby. I've been pregnant in highschool, worn too tight of pants that cut off my circulation and harmed my child, and I have also forgotten that I'm pregnant and missed my delivery by 3 months! And the worst part is, when I wake up, I can't tell what is reality and what was just a dream. I wake my poor husband up about 5 times a night to clarify reality and tell him about my dreams. Between that and the bathroom runs, sleep is not an easy thing at our home. I guess the only up side is that this will all soon come to an end. Soon I won't have a 5 pound baby sitting on my bladder and I'll get to sleep on my stomach. And most importantly, hopefully the dreams will end.

The Scarecrow Festival
Family Night at the Scarecrow Festival with the LeBaron Family, what a perfect way to kick off the fall season! I love this time of year, (and not just because it includes my birthday and the fact that the end is in sight of this pregnancy). The smells, the crisp autumn air, the hot chocolate, the bright fall colors, and all the fun family get togethers make this a wonderful time of year. The kids were darling in their Halloween outfits and it made tommy and I even more excited for our little baby to join this family!

Already in Diapers
Although I am not a mom yet, I am already jumping right into parenting mode. Miko is now going through heat. And let me tell you that this is not a fun thing for her or me. My only option to deal with the mess was this lovely little diapering device that she absolutely despises. The good news is, she can't get it off, so it will protect my carpet and clothes for now. For those of you that have never had this lovely experience, dogs go through heat for up to three weeks! (imagine that girls!) And its not just a diaper, I also have to protect her from male dogs. This really is like parenting, isn't it.
